3 mistakes to avoid on your website.

If you're in the beginning stages of your business or don’t have the funds to invest in professional website design yet - you may be trying to DIY because you KNOW the importance of having a website in 2021. & that's ok!

Just make sure you are avoiding these top 3 website mistakes.

#1 Broken Links

It is important to ensure all of your links, buttons, etc. are connected.

PRO TIP: If you are linking to a page outside of your website make sure you set the button or link to open in another TAB - this way the user can easily come back to your website by just selecting the TAB 😌

#2 Not Including Clear Photos of Yourself

Including a clear, professional photo of yourself on your website helps your ideal client relate to you (& remember, people buy from people, not brands)

Having nice photos of yourself for your website is truly a win-win, not only can you use them for your site but you can also use those for marketing materials & social media posts.

Find a local photographer who fits your style & vibe then book a session. Be sure to wear your brand colors, be creative & HAVE FUN!

#3 Lack of CTA (Call to Action)

A great call to action will help your visitors know what their next step is & where to go!

Let your personality shine through on your CTAs - you don’t always have to default for: Click Here, More Info, Submit, Subscribe.

Here are a few creative CTA’s:

  • Let’s Do This!

  • I’m Ready!

  • Yes, I need your help!

  • Send me the [FREEBIE NAME]

  • Grab a copy here

  • Start YOUR/MY free trial

  • Gain XYZ NOW!

  • Start Your Journey Towards X Today!

These are 3 VERY common website mistakes I see on most beginner/DIY’d sites - not the end of the world BUT your website is truly your virtual storefront for your business, you want to give a great lasting impression & ultimately convert users into subscribers & subscribers into clients. By making these minor tweaks you can keep users on your site & engaged!
