Are you looking for trendy ways to update your branding in 2023?
It’s no secret that branding is one of the cornerstones of creating an effective and successful business. Outdated branding can make it difficult for customers to recognize your company and trust it. This blog post will explore the steps you should take when considering a rebrand.
Whether you need a minor refresh or a total revamp, it’s a great idea to know what trends are turning heads before you start. Keep reading to find out three easy updates you can make to your branding for 2023.
Choose Your Colors Boldly
2023's color of the year is Viva Magenta, which is just as vibrant as it sounds. While you don't have to choose this exact color, it's a great idea to push the boundaries of what you're comfortable with and really think about what message you're trying to convey and how color can help you do that.
Choosing bold colors for your website can make a huge difference in how it looks and how users interact with it. Bold colors draw the eye, help to create a visual hierarchy, provide contrast which makes text easier to read, and can help set the tone of the entire website. Taking the time to choose bold but complementary colors will result in a more visually appealing website with higher user engagement.
Remember, choosing bold colors doesn't mean your website has to be a bright rainbow. Well-placed accent colors go a long way to making your branding stand out and catch the eye of the right people.
Incorporate Modern Design Elements
Modern web design is all about simplicity, minimalism, and bold typography. For example, large hero images on the homepage are combined with stylish fonts to draw attention, and bright shapes or illustrations add a creative touch.
While it's always a good idea to pick art that complements your branding, it's always wise to stay informed about the latest illustration trends. This year, expect to see companies using technology to create their artwork. Updated logos with 3D renderings and other digital art styles are gaining popularity, and it's a simple way to give your branding a modern feel without a complete rebrand.
Another trend you can use in your branding this year is responsive design—or designing your website to look fabulous no matter what device is used to view it. Responsive design means your website will automatically adjust itself based on the screen size, so you don't have to make a separate version for mobile, desktop, or tablet. This helps ensure a consistent user experience across all devices and ensures that your branding looks its best no matter where it's viewed. The great news is your Squarespace website comes with responsive design built into every template, so no extra work for you.
Focus on Emotional Connection
Consumers are savvier than ever and want to know that the brands they interact with are genuine and authentic. That means telling your story in a way that is honest, open, and reflective of your brand. You should share stories about why you exist and what drives you.
Your branding is one way to stand out. With the constant influx of information online, creating branding that tells your story is powerful. Authentic branding lets your clients get to know you and your team, and familiarize them with what you do. This isn't just about creating a website that’s visually appealing, it’s about communicating your brand in ways that people can connect with.
